Athens Accident Attorney | Comer Man Killed in DUI Accident

Alcohol, marijuana, and failure to wear a seatbelt contributed to the unforunate death of a Comer man this past Saturday. The car wreck occurred on a dirt road near Danielsville around 6 PM.
The driver was cited for DUI, vehicular homicide, reckless driving, failure to maintain lane, and possession of marijuana. Sadly, the decedent was not wearing his seatbelt which resulted in him being partially ejected. The driver and two other passengers were taken to Athens Regional for minor injuries.
DUI, failure to wear seatbelts, reckless driving, and swerving (aka failure to maintain lane) are all among the most common causes of traffic fatalities.
