Georgia 5th In Ranking of Nation's Worst Drivers - Marietta Accident Lawyer
Georgia drivers ranked among the worst in the nation in a recent poll conducted by GMAC Insurance measuring driver's knowledge of the basic rules of the road. The test included 20 questions compiled from driver's licensing exams as well as questions relating to basic rules of the road. The report concluded that roughly 41 million licensed American drivers would not pass a written drivers exam if taken today. The report also concluded that knowledge of the basic rules of the road was on the decline.Of course someone who doesn't know what they are doing behind the wheel is certainly more likely to cause an auto accident or car wreck. So one could reasonably conclude that Georgia is among the most unsafe places to drive.
What does this mean for you? Well I guess it depends on how you score on the test. However, it certainly means that you can't assume that the person on the road next to you knows what they are doing. Approach every intersection as though the other driver's are among the nation's most ignorant...because apparently they are.
