Douglasville Motorcyclist Breaks Wrist in Head-on Collision

A Douglasville motorcyclist riding his 2006 Harley Davidson broke his wrist when an oncoming driver failed to see him and turned into his path.  The motorcyclist laid his bike down.  In the process he broke his left wrist.  The accident occured on Brittain Road in Douglasville.

The injuries to the motorcyclist's wrist included a fracture of the ulner styloid, fracture of the distal radial epiphysis with dorsal angulation, and an interior dislocation of the carpal from the radiocarpal joint.  Surgery was required which involved installing pins to stabilize the region.  The motorcyclist suffered permanent nerve damage.
